About the author

Antano Sparreboom is a Dutch author who lives in the port city of Rotterdam. From a young age, he was an avid reader, consuming every book he could find. But instead of writing, he spent ten years suffering from Worldbuilder’s disease, creating a great fantasy world but not actually writing any stories. During this time, he was inspired by great authors such as Brandon Sanderson, Garth Nix, Adrian Tchaikovsky and S.A. Corey, but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe, all of which describe epic battles that take place in exotic settings.

After studying in the UK for two years, he had some time with nothing to do and wrote a first draft in three months. That started a writing addiction that he hasn’t gotten over since, and probably never will. Whenever he’s not writing, he works in the local housing industry.
